For nearly a decade as a corporate educator and training facilitator, I dedicated myself to helping individuals' step into their highest potential.

I mastered the science of learning, growth, and transformation in professional spaces—researching, refining, and delivering the most effective methods for success.

But when it came to my own struggles—crippling anxiety, depression, irritability that left me searching for answers—I found myself at a loss. I turned to the research, clung to the science, hoping to find the same clarity I had given others. Yet, despite all my knowledge, I couldn’t seem to unlock the solution I so desperately needed.

I kept searching. Digging deeper I felt that it was just beyond my reach. But finally, I found a path that blended both science and something more—a holistic, a little WOO, embodied approach to healing that transformed not just my mind, but my entire being.

This journey changed everything. And now, I know my mission is to help others do the same.

 

Transformational Breathwork. The name speaks for itself! It was more than just a breathing practice......I was a NEW person! I stepped into my inner world and allowed myself to shed layers of doubt, worth issues and fear, regaining my life as a mother a wife and a friend!

 

 Breathwork was the modality I didn't know I needed that I now can't live without!​

 

This inner journey of breathing allows you to reconnect with yourself and intentionally remove energetic & emotional blocks that may have been holding you back from creating lasting changes.

After a consultation and intake form, we will decide what forms of breathwork are a best suited for you and implement a daily/ weekly plan of various breathwork techniques to reach your highest potential.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, I offer in-person breathwork sessions at the studio where I practice or at your preferred location. Travel costs apply for sessions outside the studio

What is Breathwork?

“Breathwork” is a term used for so many different  types of conscious and controlled breathing.

These techniques and practices have the power to greatly enhance your physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and have been in existence for thousands of years.  Essentially all breathwork styles are modern forms of Pranayama, a practice originating in the 5th and 6th centuries BCE.

 

Pranayama is the yogic practice of focusing on breath. In Sanskrit, Prana means "vital life force", and Yama means to gain control.

As breathwork continues to grow in popularity science has noticed the positive effects and are now studying and recognizing the practice as a form of alternative therapy for treating mental, physical and emotional issues. You may be new to the word breathwork, but you’ve probably done a variation of breathwork before.

You just didn’t think it was breathwork. For example, have you ever taken deep breaths to calm your nervous system? This is an example of basic breathwork.

The Benefits of Breathwork

 

Massive stress relief and deep relaxation: Breathwork has been shown to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for promoting relaxation and reducing stress. 

Enhances breathing function and immune function: Breathwork has been shown to have a positive impact on the immune system by increasing the flow of oxygen and energy throughout the body.

Improves sleep and increases energy levels: Breathwork has been shown to help regulate the body’s sleep-wake cycle and improve sleep quality.

These are all experiences I have either personally had or witnessed others having after doing breathwork.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to the power of breathwork and what it can do for you, all it takes is a starting point.

Is Breathwork Safe?

      YES! Breathwork is safe and the best thing about it is, if you feel at any time that it’s too intense for you, you can stop, change your pace or just breathe through your nose and resume the technique when you’re comfortable. There are no current records of adverse effects of breathwork, however if you have certain ailments, it is suggested you consult with your doctor prior to doing breathwork. Some of the contraindications are: 

Cardiovascular problems

High or abnormal blood pressure

History of aneurysms

Epilepsy or history of seizures

Osteoporosis

Recent surgery

Glaucoma

Pregnancy

Anyone on heavy medication

Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia

Bipolar depression

An active addiction

Any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support.

   You’re in total control of your experience with Breathwork. Breathwork isn’t any more dangerous than riding your bicycle or going to the gym. We often fear what we don't know or haven't experienced.

How does Breathwork effect your body?

Breathwork can influence the Neurotransmitters in the body. By changing and manipulating your breath with different breathing techniques you can influence these neurotransmitters emitted into your cells, thus effecting your nervous system. In addition to that, it has the ability to stimulate and increase the immune system and help manage things like, Cortisol levels, Serotonin, and Dopamine along with so much more!
